Topic: “European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage: Opportunities for Cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia”

This session will begin with a talk by Élodie Cazenave, European Projects Officer at the Foundation for Heritage Science (France), followed by a discussion moderated by Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Honorary Advisor to SEACHA, who will be joined by guest discussant, Fauzy Ismail, Singapore-based Director of SEACHA.
The talk will present new perspectives of collaboration between Europe and Southeast Asia offered by the future European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage (RCH). The aim of the RCH is twofold: to strengthen the means of preserving cultural heritage and to contribute to climate neutrality in other sectors by promoting traditional and innovative practices, techniques, and materials resulting from cultural heritage research.
It represents a major and innovative opportunity to develop, in a holistic and strategic approach, robust basic and applied research at the intersection of climate change and cultural heritage, and to focus on the research/policy/practice collaboration to respond to the global challenge posed by climate change.
