Bangkok Climate Action Week SEACHA Youth Panel: “Weaving the Future: Youth, Heritage, and the Climate Cost of What We Wear”
October 4, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm PST

SEACHA invites everyone to “Weaving the Future: Youth, Heritage, and the Climate Cost of What We Wear”, in line with Bangkok Climate Action Week. This will be hosted at The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage, with a Heritage Clothing booth on display from the afternoon of October 2 until October 4, while the panel itself shall be on October 4, 2025 at 2 PM.
Among the SEACHA Youth Panel are: Shar Thae Hoy (Myanmar), Supitcha Sutthanonkul (Thailand), Celia Bùi Lê (Vietnam), & Gio Abcede (Philippines / Heritage Conservation Society). Moderating the panel are Ms. Alka Puri (Fashion Rethink) & Fauzy Ismail (SEACHA / Singapore Heritage Society).
This panel opens with a keynote presentation from Ms. Alka Puri of Fashion Rethink, and brings together ASEAN youth leaders to explore the climate cost of what we wear. Drawing on the region’s rich textile heritage and the emerging sustainable fashion movements, the panel and side event unpacks the intersections of consumption, climate justice, labor ethics, fashion innovation and cultural identity in the global fashion economy. Covering micro and macro aspects of the circular fashion economy, the youth will share their personal practices on how they mitigate climate change through their choices in fashion.
